The Queen Mary University Library on Whitechapel Campus is located next to the Royal London Hospital and offers the variety of study spaces in a unique interior of the Neo-Gothic Church of St Augustine with St Philip. Built in 1888-92 to the designs by Arthur Cawston, the church was restored and converted into a medical and dental library in 1985-88. Interesting features include eight stained glass windows on medical themes by Johannes Schreiter, and an ‘ambiguous object’ designed by Surface Architects to accommodate the wheelchair lift.
More information about the building is available in the "Survey of London" and on the library's website:https://www.library.qmul.ac.uk/using-the-library/opening-hours/whitechapel-library/https://surveyoflondon.org/map/feature/1063/detail/
