These photographs tell the story of maritime heritage and Britain’s surviving historic vessels, highlighting the passion, enthusiasm and dedication that goes into caring for them, as well as the diversity of craft and the settings in which they can be found.

National Historic Ships UK is a government-funded body set up to give objective advice on all matters relating to historic vessels in the UK, as well as promote their supporting infrastructure and the traditional maritime skills which are essential to their ongoing maintenance and conservation.
