In the last half of the 20th century, a young man, Michael Rubel, left his home to travel the world. He returned to Glendora, penniless and with dreams of building his very own castle. In a fortunate turn of events he inherited an orange grove, reservoir and packing plant. By employing his wits, recycled and reclaimed resources, and the physical strength of young volunteers; Michael built the castle of his dreams over the course of the next 25 years.
