Arthurdale: Eleanor Roosevelt's 'Little Village'
Arthurdale is the nation's first New Deal Homestead Community. It is located on 1200 acres in Preston County that used to comprise the Richard Arthur farm. The community was created to resettle impoverished and unemployed workers and give them the tools to lift themselves out of poverty.
