Retablo, Mexico City Cathedral
Part of the Historic Centre of Mexico City inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Mexico City Metropolitian Cathedral was built from 1573-1813. Constructed above the above the sacred Aztec precinct near Templo Mayor, the church is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico and one of the most iconic buildings in Mexico City. The Retablo de los Reyes is an ornate altarpiece done in the Churrigueresque style located in the main apse of the cathedral.
